So this is what happens to animals in the office..

They fly,

They become blood brothers,

They balance themselves on an orange while balancing strawberry jam,

They put everything into their mouths,

They try to push their bigger friends off the partitions,

They try to woodpeck strawberry jam,
pretend jam as sofa armrests,
audition as circus performers,

And they try to search for..?

So I still believe that work can be fun!

I enjoyed being in Liab Ops, being in a huge family,

Working in TSadmin, working late,
I didnt mind having breakfast, lunch and dinner in the office, at our seats,
cause it was fun being with the people I grew to love.

This is Nappy, my comfy companion.

But Jan and I almost crushed when we were informed of the deployment at 9 in the morning,
and were supposed to report to the new team by 1230pm.
We didnt have time to pack our tables,
least to say bid farewell
cause we had to clear our outstanding work and pass on to our colleagues.
All we brought were our pens and name stamps.

We took days, weeks, almost 2 months
to finally open up and be free in the new team.
Although they werent new faces,
but it was still unfamiliar ground.

But Liab Acc Mgmt really took the effort to include us in everything.
Our team leaders from LO pouched chocolates and dropped emails to the people on this side,
to take care of their xiao-meis who were gona stay here for a while.

As time went by,
Jan and I got more used to the people here and we started being ourselves
and we can say that we are starting to enjoy being here.

And my colleagues are all young people, like you and me!

I think everything is a blessing in disguise.
Cause Jason is leaving LAM to join another dept
on the very same day that LO is shifting over to join LAM,

so we are going to be 1 big family again,
like how it was at Cap Sq #10.

If I wasnt deployed in November,
I would have never gotten the chance to work with Jason again.
And now, Jan and I can have the best of both worlds,
we dont have to pouch or send emails back to Cap Sq,
and we dont have to worry if we need to return to TSAdmin,
and if we are gona miss the people at LAM,
cause we are going to be reunited!

And bonus for me, Jason is just gona shift 3 floors down!
Best of 3 worlds for me!!
Im so thankful that everything is so well planned
and I know the Person behind the plans.

My colleague took this out of her bag and shared this with us
although she had less than 10 in her tupperware.
The cornflakes are crispy
The honey was acceptably sweet
No crumbs dropped when you sink your teeth into it
The after taste was sexy

SO, work is still good!

Had to wait till after 5pm cause Jason was at JW,
but it turned out to be good cause the weather was perfecto. (:

When the sun was starting to set,
Jason suddenly bounced up and got me to close my eyes again.

Hmm..

The moment I opened my eyes, I found this shining brightly in the dark!

We talked quite abit, shared about what we felt,
and it was good.
I got to know him deeper and I hope he did too.

Pastor’s msg really came in handy,
and Im so thankful that we are in the same incubation,
you know, like we are learning about life together,
and we are always on the same page.
Its so easy to speak and communicate with him,
to share our goals and visions,
and his encouragements are firm and directive, yet soft and comforting.

This bear is named Sunshine, after (what he always calls) me.
And a SK necklace, Eva dont laugh ok. Haha.

I was supposed to make reservations for our dinner
but so many things happened in the week, together with the early morning pm,
I was bushed the moment I reached home.

I tried calling a whole list of places to eat this morning,
but they were all fully booked.
With no time left, I dropped Jason an sms, explaining my situation.

He replied, “Its ok dear, let me handle the rest. What craving or preference do you have?”
Yayeee! (:

At 5.27pm when service was about to begin, I received another sms,
“I’ve booked de place dear. It’ll be at Orchard area. Let you know more info soon. Enjoy ya service lovey dovey pants.”

When we met at Dhoby Gaut, he got me to close my eyes,
then he presented me with a Bear Bouquet!
He remembered that I dont really like flowers cause they die in my hands, me no greenfingers!

He led me to Hotel Rendevous, and this was where we had our dinner. (:

This place was so calm and the food was superb.
You seldom hear me talk about food, and when I do, this place IS DA BOMB.

Not exactly food, but he looks yummy to me.

We had the soup of the day, herbs and spices,
and salmon with carrots.
Turkish Cherry Tea/Juice and Turkish Apple Tea.
